Nebraska Video Series Highlights Young People Across Nebraska

The state of Nebraska is launching a new video series aimed at retaining young people in the state.

Governor Pete Ricketts touted a Kansas City Fed report from October that shows Nebraska has positive net migration over the last decade, but he said Nebraska struggles to keep many of the young people who are in Nebraska for education.

First Lady Susanne Shore and Ricketts said the “It Happens Here” video series highlights why young people should stay in Nebraska after they graduate.

“We’ve got the best place in the world right here in Nebraska," Ricketts said. "And we have to go out and tell our story, and this “It Happens Here” is a great way for us to be able to tell that story about all the wonderful things and all the wonderful stories that we’ve got going on here in the state.”

The first video tells the story of Caleb Pollard, owner of Scratchtown Brewing in Ord, Nebraska and can be seen across social media and the "It Happens Here" website.
