The Strategic Air Command and Aerospace Museum will host an exhibition of robotic animals as part of their ongoing goal on educational outreach for STEM-related fields.

The Robot Zoo will begin at the Ashland museum on January 19. The exhibition will feature larger-than-life robotic animals, showcasing the unique biomechanical characteristics of their real-life counterparts. The opening day celebration will also include a real animal exhibition to complement the Robot Zoo.

Marketing and public relations director for the museum Deb Hermann said exhibits like the Robot Zoo are a great educational tool for science and technology.

“We actually use STEM exhibits as an educational platform to help engage youth in the process of learning," Hermann said. "They get more excited when they get to do hands-on activities, and these exhibitions are just really, really fun.”

The Robot Zoo exhibit will be at the SAC Museum until May 10.
