Free Public Seminar to Explore Pine Ridge Ecosystem Saturday

October 8, 2018 - 1:27pm

Chadron State College will be the site of a free seminar this Saturday, October 13,  to learn about the diverse Pine Ridge ecosystem. Topics will cover land management, conservation techniques, biodiversity and more.

The Pine Ridge region is home to a unique environment of different plant and animal species.

Coordinating wildlife biologist Erin Divine said attendees can expect a lot of information.

“They would come back with greater knowledge of the diversity that we have in the Pine Ridge and appreciation for that diversity. As well as knowledge of some different practices they might be able to implement on their property, on their land, that can help increase diversity and protect wildlife,” Divine said.

The seminar takes place at the student center at Chadron State College. It runs from 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The seminar is free to the public but requires registration. To register, contact Erin Divine at 308-432-6122 or erin.divine@birdconservancy.org.
